Washington is definitely a state for nature-lovers — we've got something for everyone. But while our beaches and mountains often steal the spotlight, if you're wondering about "waterfalls near me" in Washington, you don't have to look too hard. Our state is full of awe-inspiring waterfalls, and these are nine of our finest:
1. Palouse Falls
One might assume that Western Washington has all the best falls, but in fact, our state waterfall is in Eastern Washington. Palouse Falls State Park is breathtaking. It's so amazing, in fact, that it's Washington's official state waterfall!
2. Snoqualmie Falls
Thanks to its easy access and great viewing platform, Snoqualmie Falls is one of the most popular *and* easily accessible waterfalls in the state — and it's jaw-dropping.
3. Spokane Falls
How lucky are the residents of Spokane to have a magnificent waterfall cascading through their city? Spokane Falls adds so much natural beauty to the area.
4. Marymere Falls
Marymere Falls is located in Olympic National Park near Lake Crescent. You'll find this stunning waterfall at the end of a short trail through an old-growth forest.
5. Falls Creek Falls, Carson
If you're looking for a nice, easy hike near the Columbia River Gorge, hike the Falls Creek Falls Trail and you'll end up in this magical spot.
6. Deception Falls
You'll find Deception Falls near Skykomish in the beautiful Snoqualmie National Forest, and it's easy to see why it's such a popular nature walk.
7. Madison Creek Falls
Located on the Olympic Peninsula near the Elwha River, the serene Madison Creek Falls is easily reachable via a short, paved path.
8. Rocky Brook Falls
This is another Olympic Peninsula gem, and it's one of the most spectacular falls in the state, cascading 229 feet over a huge rock wall.
9. Christine Falls
This beauty is located at Mt. Rainier National Park, and you can see it along with its neighbor, Comet Falls, on one three-mile trail.
Still curious about "waterfalls near me" in the Evergreen State? We get it; we are a helpless bunch of waterfall chasers! If you love waterfalls, you can see quite a few of these beauties in person if you go on our Washington waterfalls road trip.
