The trail measures approximately 1.8 miles there and back, offering a relatively easy way to experience the great outdoors. Tucked away in the mountains, Town Park is a treasure trove of beauty, and the River Walk is a great way to soak it all in.
The park is located at the east end of Queen Street. Beginning your adventure at the Strasburg Town Park lot, you'll follow the paved route along the Shenandoah River.
The paved trail eventually gives way to a gravel route as it opens up to breathtaking views of the Massanutten Mountain Range.
The walk continues for just under one mile, eventually leading to Strasburg High School on Ram Drive.
Turning around to retrace your steps, you'll get to enjoy the walk all over again! Along the way, there are three benches where you can stop and take in the surrounding views.
So whether you're going with a group of friends or venturing out solo, you'll find the River Walk sets the state for quiet reflection and gratitude for the beauty of Virginia's natural spaces.
