Staunton River State Park, located in Halifax County, Virginia, is basically paradise for anyone who loves the outdoors.
At about 1,597 acres, this big state park has several very cool features.
First of all, Staunton River State Park is an International Dark Sky Park.
The sought-after designation means there is purposely little to no light pollution here, in order to preserve the gorgeous night sky views.
