Sure, we've all seen the regular deer, birds and insects--even the occasional moose or bear--while meandering through nature in Vermont. These photographers were adventurous enough to get up close and person with these animals to capture these extreme shots. You won't believe a human being froze these incredible moments in time.
1) This close-up of a deer fly in Corinth.
2) This swimming beaver in Putney.
3) A Hatchling Painted Turtle in Swanton.
4) This White Tail Doe and its fawn.
5) And this extremely close deer!
6) The Pileated Woodpecker.
7) The male Wood Duck.
Visible from March until November
8) The tree swallow.
9) This camouflaging tree frog.
10) This adorable squirrel.
11) Just a casual black bear about to cross the road in Bennington.
I applaud the person who got close enough to capture this.
12) Oh, and this casual moose as well.
What long legs he has!
13) This wild turkey.
Hopefully he'll know to hide in November.
14) The cuddly-looking Red Foxin Lamoille.
15) And of course, the elegant blue heron.
How many of you would've sprinted for your life in the opposite direction when you saw that black bear? I know for sure I wouldn't have stuck around for the picture. Do you have any extreme Vermont wildlife photos? Post your pictures in the comments!
