There are hundreds of trails in Vermont with gorgeous views of our mountainous and green state, but perhaps no other hike is quite as stunning as the Mount Hunger via Waterbury Trail! It's just one of those hikes every Vermonter has to do at least once. The natural surroundings and breathtaking vistas along this hike make it one of the best and most beautiful hikes in the state. Here's a collection of some photos that hikers have taken of the beauteous mountains from the Mount Hunger Trail:
With mountainous and valley views stretching tens of miles, the Mount Hunger Trail will enchant you all the way along your trek.
The trail is rated difficult due to its more than 2,000 ft. vertical ascend up Mt. Hunger, but the views more than make up for the long and arduous journey.
This out-and-back trail is roughly four-and-a-half miles in length and takes an average time of four hours, plus or minus 30 minute - so be warned that it's quite the challenge.
Views from the top of Mount Hunger are simply unparalleled.
Whichever the season, this trail will not disappoint. You'll find crisp fall colors during autumn, snow-capped mountain views in winter, and lush green valleys in summer.
