Many people say that everyone should see the Grand Canyon at least once in their lives, and lucky for us, Vermont has a smaller version that should also be seen. Conveniently, it's much closer. The beautiful Quechee Gorge is known as Vermont's Little Grand Canyon and this spectacular sight has the awe factor while being easily seen from the bridge above and can be hiked down to the bottom in about an hour. Let's take a closer look!
Vermont's deepest cavern certainly is a long way down.
The bridge above is perhaps the most dramatic place to view the gorge.
A staggering 165 foot drop, this view is incredible, but it may not be for the faint of heart.
It's surprisingly easy to hike down to the bottom of the Vermont's Little Grand Canyon to catch the view from a dramatically different vantage point
The hike down to the bottom is only about a quarter of a mile, so don't be scared.
There are areas at the bottom which are peaceful and serene.
A few rushing waters, too.
No one can deny that exploring Vermont's deepest gorge is quite an amazing experience.
This stunning place is accessible to all, and there is even a nearby campground!
There's nothing like sleeping under the stars in Vermont.
A short jaunt down to the bottom of the gorge is one of the many wonderful benefits of a campsite so close to the gorge.
Be sure to look down from the trails as you hike up and down. It's beautiful!
Make sure a trip to Vermont's Little Grand Canyon, Quechee Gorge, is on your bucket list this Spring, Summer or Fall.
