How could we ever get tired of hiking in Vermont? The answer is, of course, that becoming bored with hiking in Vermont is certainly an impossibility. But, sometimes we get stuck finding new and beautiful hikes to explore. So, to help you get reinvigorated with hiking, let's take a look at this stunning six-mile trail to Equinox Mountain.
The trailhead to Equinox Mountain and Lookout Rock is located at 228-306 W Union St. in Manchester, Vermont.
Along the trek, you'll discover a good amount of varying terrain, interesting forrest areas, and small lookouts.
The Lookout Rock provides stunning panoramic views of the Green Mountains and Green Mountain National Forest.
This moderately difficult trail can be, on occasion, a bit more heavily trafficked than other trails. But because of the length of the trail, it can often feel like you're out there alone in the wilderness. The hike is just over six miles out and back.
Hiking through the forest offers a respite from the heat of the sun while wandering through the shady forest.
There's a neat little hut along your journey. Make sure to bring your camera, for there are many areas that are worth capturing along this hike.

This trail is not only a beautiful and moderately challenging hike, but it also has some downright breathtaking views from the lookout at the top of the mountain.
