Zion National Park is THE national park to visit in Utah, and is also the state's most visited park, with nearly 4.5 million visitors in 2019. It's easy to see what draws people to Zion - its jaw-dropping beauty is unparalleled. Locals know that the best time to visit is during spring and fall months when the weather isn't as hot and the crowds aren't quite as heavy, but if you can't make it there now, no worries! Zion has posted virtual hikes of several of its most popular trails.

Canyon Overlook Trail is a must-do when you visit Zion, but if you're not able to get there right now, you can check out this virtual hike posted by Zion National Park on its YouTube channel.
The trail is just one mile long, out and back. It's rated as easy, with a 440-foot elevation gain.
As you hike along the path, you'll encounter some rocks and tree roots. Of course, on the virtual hike you won't have to navigate them!
Zion's famous red-rock landscape is stunning all the way along the trail.
There are some narrow places along the way, and even a wooden bridge that takes you right over a ravine, but there are railings on these sections of the trail.
When you're hiking it, you'll want to stop along the way for plenty of photos. When you're watching the virtual tour, you can always hit "pause" to admire the view!
At the end of the hike, you'll have incredible views of the canyon stretched out in front of you.
The Canyon Overlook Trail is simply magnificent. We can't wait to hike it again, but in the meantime, the virtual hike is the next best thing.
