If you want spectacular views, hike to one of the many peaks in the Beehive State, but you'll want to be prepared for a strenuous climb. We've written about many hikes that will make you feel like you're conquering the world (you can tell by that burn in your thighs as you climb thousands of feet in elevation). But today, we're bringing you the easiest "hike" you'll ever find on our site. Keep scrolling to see how you can reach a gorgeous peak with almost no effort at all.
Hidden Peak sits at the top of the world (well, at 11,000 feet it feels like the top of the world). You'll find it at Snowbird Resort, in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It offers incredible views, and you'll definitely want to get yourself up there.
But first, we have some bad news. Utah has some amazing peaks, but our mountains are tall, tall, tall. Sadly, it's not possible to go for an easy stroll to reach the highest spots in the Beehive State. For that, you'd need to visit a sea-level state. Try Florida, maybe?
To reach Hidden Peak, you can hike the Peruvian Gulch Trail. It's a gut-buster, climbing 2,703 feet in just 2.5 miles. You might not feel like doing that. We get it. We're often asked how one can enjoy Utah's epic natural spots without a strenuous hike.
So, we have good news for you! You CAN reach Hidden Peak without much effort at all. But the only climbing you'll be doing is climbing onto the tram.
During busy summer weekends, you may have to wait for a few minutes to hop aboard, but with two trams operating, it doesn't take long for your turn.
The tram operates daily during the summer from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. The views during the 10-minute-long ride up are pretty stunning.
Once you get to the top, you may want to grab a bite to eat at The Summit restaurant, which perches at the top of Hidden Peak.

Spend some time soaking in the views, then make a decision about how you'll get back down the mountain. You can take the tram...
...or you can take a fairly easy stroll down. If you want to immerse yourself in nature for awhile, and you want to say that you "went hiking at Snowbird," but you don't really want to expend much energy, take the trail back down.
It's basically a dirt-and-gravel service road that's pretty easy to navigate, but you'll be surrounded by fragrant pines, and fresh air.
You might even see some wildlife on your downhill trek. Keep an eye open for squirrels, chipmunks, birds...
...and even Moose! These lumbersome creatures are common in the canyon, and hang out at Snowbird Resort all summer long.
Have you ever taken the tram up to Hidden Peak? We'd love to see your photos!
