One thing Utah certainly has no shortage of is playgrounds. Throughout the Beehive State’s many parks, you will find playgrounds of all shapes and sizes. In fact, there are several fully inclusive playgrounds that allow all children, regardless of any limitations, to play, imagine, and have fun. In Logan, you will find Adventure Playground. This is northern Utah’s only fully handicap-accessible playground and it’s a must visit.
The Whittier Community Center is located in Logan and has been a staple in the community since 1908. Here, you’ll find all types of classes, a homeschool co-op, and so much more, including Adventure Playground.
In 2009, the community came together to build this fully inclusive playground that has become loved by children and adults of all ages.
The minute you arrive at the playground, your imagination can go wild. This playground has a castle theme where children can quickly enter a world of make-believe.
This isn’t a small playground either. There are multiple areas for exploring, sliding, and even climbing. Plus, the smooth ground allows for individuals, such as those who use a wheelchair or walker, to move around with ease.
The playground is split into two primary areas. One area features a large castle, swings, climbing structures, and more. This area is primarily targeted towards older children.
However, for younger kids, there is a special Tot Land with slides, swings, and toddler-age climbing structures.
In addition to the giant castle, there is a boat and train where can children can play and imagine. There are ramps and large walkways throughout the playground, making it easy to get from one area to another.
Plus, for children who like to venture and explore on their own, this park is fully fenced, with only one entrance/exit. This allows parents to easily keep an eye on their children, yet give them the independence that they crave.
Children and adults will love a day spent at Adventure Playground in Logan. It’s one day trip destination that is going to unleash the imagination and provide space for every child to play.
