I thought it was about time we revisit an old classic since summertime is fast approaching. We wrote about Hamilton Pool many times last year, but it's impossible to mention a place this breathtaking too many times. You'll be hard pressed to find a scene more reminiscent of a fanciful Disney movie in the entirety of our state.
With its glistening limestone overhang and crystalline water, Hamilton Pool is an absolutely magical place to visit.
Although an immensely popular tourist attraction, its remote location will make you feel as if you've stumbled upon uncharted territory.
The perfection of the structure is almost otherworldly, reminiscent of a fantasyland from a Disney movie rather than a real natural phenomenon.
You can bask in the sun on the small beach next to the pool, or submerge yourself in the crisp water with the rock ceiling hanging above you like a nautical amphitheater.
For all my adventurers out there, you can actually follow a path leading up into the rocks, giving you an entirely different perspective of the awe-inspiring grotto.
I'd highly suggest planning your trip around a recent rainfall to ensure the fast-flowing, towering waterfall will be operating at its fullest potential.
So if you want to escape into a mystical world like that of "The Little Mermaid" where all your troubles will disappear beneath the watery depths...
...then Hamilton Pool belongs at the very top of your summer 2017 bucket list.
The address is 24300 Hamilton Pool Rd., Dripping Springs, TX, 78620
