Fall may officially start on September 23, but for me, it doesn't truly begin until I've visited my first pumpkin patch of the season. This year, I think I'm going to kick things off with The T-Ranch in La Feria. It just might be the biggest pumpkin patch in Texas, nestled on a 75-acre working cattle ranch and offering all sorts of family-friendly fall festivities.
The T-Ranch first opened in 2019 and has quickly grown into the largest pumpkin patch in South Texas. It's located on a working cattle ranch and features all sorts of family-friendly attractions in the fall.
Of course, picking the perfect pumpkin is the highlight of your T-Ranch experience. Many different varieties are available, but I'm partial to these pretty-in-pink Cinderella pumpkins.
Kids (and kids at heart) are sure to have a blast checking out all of the activities, which include a hay mountain, a tractor ride, lawn games, and more.
Visitors also have the opportunity to interact with adorable farm animals such as sheep, goats, pigs, and llamas.
Did you really visit a pumpkin patch if you don't have the pictures to prove it? Never mind the answer - you definitely won't have that problem at T-Ranch because there are photo-ops galore.
This one is dubbed "The Pumpkin House," and it's easily the most iconic spot on the ranch to snap a selfie.
This photo-op is a favorite among families. I don't think fall cards are a thing, but if they were, this would be the perfect backdrop for one.
Other festivities include live music, local vendors, and the chance to paint your own pumpkin.
Expect to see plenty of spooky eats and treats for sale, too.
For the adults, a beer and wine bar offers a wide variety of refreshing choices. Don't leave without trying the limited-edition pumpkin craft beer!
Visit The T-Ranch's website or The T-Ranch's Facebook page for more information, including admission prices (and what attractions are included with the cost of admission), exact dates and hours for this year, and more.
