Calling all Texas nature lovers! If you're not in the mood for a big adventure but still want to spend some time outdoors, the Beaumont Botanical Gardens is the perfect place to visit. With paved paths that meander through colorful blooms, waterfalls, and koi ponds, this tranquil oasis provides respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Located within the expansive and beautiful Tyrrell Park in downtown Beaumont, the Beaumont Botanical Gardens is a peaceful oasis that promises to melt away all of your worries. Meander through 11 acres of impeccably manicured grounds and discover a world of wonder hiding right under your nose.
Open from dawn until dusk each day, the gardens are free for all to explore. People come here from all over the world, and all it takes is one visit to understand why.
My favorite area of the gardens is the paved Friendship Walk. It’s accessible to wheelchair and stroller users and leads from one side of the grounds to the other, passing by fish ponds, a rose garden, a waterfall, a picnic area, and lots of colorful blooms.
There are many different types of flowers, so you’re in for a treat no matter what time of year you visit. Keep an eye out for bees, butterflies, and birds - they’re all over the place!
In addition to the outside gardens, you can also pop into the 10,000-square-foot Warren Loose Conservatory. This incredible place is one of the largest public conservatories in Texas, boasting a vast array of tropical and exotic plants.
Also, if you happen to need a venue for an upcoming event, the Garden Center building is available for rent. It offers unparalleled views of the gardens and is such an amazing spot for people to gather and celebrate a special occasion.
Visit the Beaumont Botanical Gardens website for more information about the grounds.
