You're going to have to watch for crowds - after all, Fall Creek Falls is the most visited state park in Tennessee - but the opportunity to splash about in their fantastic swimming hole options will take the place to an entirely new level. There are some impressive waterfalls at this state park with Fall Creek Falls being the tallest waterfall in Tennessee. 2. Stillhouse Hollow Falls - Stillhouse Hollow Falls Natural Area
This state-owned natural area is extremely popular amongst families. The 75-foot waterfall is great for pictures, picnics on the shore, and splashing around in its great swimming hole. Stillhouse Hollow Falls is a beautiful backdrop for a day bright and sunny day.
3. Cummins Falls - Cummins Falls State Park
One of the most popular spots to catch a swimming hole in the state, Cummins Falls is nevertheless a stunning representation of Tennessee's varied natural beauty. It can be very busy during a hot day but you can't beat this quintessential Tennessee waterfall.

4. Rutledge Falls - Tullahoma
The sweet thing about Rutledge Falls is that it's privately owned, but the owners have created a bit of a parking lot for visitors. Make sure to clean up and respect their land while having ALL the fun, folks! You can also take a short drive from Rutledge Falls and hike to see 3 waterfalls in one place. The Short Springs Natural Area is a great addition to this waterfall swimming hole.
5. Rock Island State Park - Rock Island State Park
Rock Island State Park is one of the only spots that offers a sandy, semi-beach in the middle of the continental US. The deep swimming holes in the area make this perfect for those of us over the age of 18. (Sheepishly raises hand...) If you prefer to gently glide over the water this is an enchanting place to paddle your kayak.
