Roaring Fork Motor Trail is a one-way scenic loop that traverses the beautiful heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. It's a car-only road, so keep in mind that trucks, RVs, and trailers are not able to make the trek.
The road itself is six-miles long, beginning at the Noah Ogle Farmstead and meandering its way to the 80-foot tall Rainbow Falls. As the tallest plunge waterfall in the national park, it's well worth the view.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Natural Area straddles both Hamilton and Sequatchie Counties and is made up of 7,093 acres. The gorge itself is cut deep into Walden's Ridge on the Cumberland Plateau.
The split in the rocky earth resulted in a series of sandstone bluffs, waterlogged coves, and trickling creekbeds.
And, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of flowering wildflowers and those shelves of sandstone. They're a sight to see, and truly unbelievable. The beauty of Tennessee is unmatched.
