East Tennessee parks tend to get overlooked by the Great Smoky Mountains hanging over their shoulder (for good reason, we suppose), which means branching out while near Knoxville and Bristol is wildly necessary. Beat the crowds, explore someplace new, experience Tennessee as you never have before — and we have just the place. Have you been to Steele Creek Park?
Steele Creek Park is a great place for quality family time, where you can truly relax and have fun with those you love most.
Spend your day hiking or biking, maybe paddle boating across the lake? Steele Creek is awesome for picnickers and folks looking to eat amongst the greatest beauty in the state.
Plus, the changing colors are absolutely stunning this time of year.
The park also backs up to a golf course, which is great if you're looking to get those competitive juices flowing. The kids will have a blast, and there's a train that runs through the center of the park that will make them beg to come back again and again.
Can you imagine riding a train through this gorgeous area?!
The park also has a disc golf course, and picnic areas are available for rent if you're looking to host a larger gathering. The local nature center provides a place where you can learn about the park and surrounding areas as well.
Have a dog? Great. Steele Park is dog-friendly and calming, perfect for a bit of time out with Fido. You may want to keep in mind, though — there's a $2 car admission fee, so plan ahead and bring your quarters!
Steele Creek Park is well-maintained and its beauty is unsurpassed. Though the entry fee is small, the experience is magnanimous. Visit with your littles or your dog, or head on over for a date or family gathering.
You can make your own memories at 80 Lakeshore Drive in Bristol, Tennessee. Have a wonderful time, friends!
