Is anyone else concerned that 2019 will not have a spring? It seems like this winter will never end, but luckily, we are being told that there should only be a few more weeks of snow. Once the world around us thaws and spring finally comes about, you are going to want to visit the tulip farm that is guaranteed to bring some more color to your life:
You know McCrory Gardens for being South Dakota State University's premiere blooms, but did you know that it is also home to the most stunning tulips in the Midwest?
Blooming in Brookings every spring, there are more than 10,000 McCrory Gardens' tulips, which makes for a jaw-dropping sea of color.
As if the tulips themselves were not reason enough to visit, the Gardens also host an annual TulaPalooza, which takes place every May and is the perfect way to take in the season!
Can anyone smell these blooms through their computer screen?!
In addition to the tulips, McCrory Gardens is home to another 25 acres of gardens...
...and 45 acres of the arboretum that are chock-full of different trees, shrubs, and grasses.
McCrory Gardens is located at 631 22nd Ave. in Brookings and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
