Who wouldn't love a gorgeous mountain view after the work of a good hiking trail? This park will show all of that, and more, along the way. Grab your hiking stick, and plan for adventure.
Today's trip takes us through Paris Mountain State Park, on a trail named Sulpher Springs Trail to Brissy Ridge Trail Loop. It's a mouthful, but it's always a beautiful time at this park.
The first couple of miles are the hardest, and the rest is much easier. Keep on it! The waterfalls and mountain views are well worth the work. These trails together create a stunning view of what this park has to offer.
Most of the trail winds through tree-lined paths, but when it opens up, you're greeted with beautiful scenery in any season.
After all of the work at the beginning of the trail, you're shown beautiful mountain views as far as you can see from the ground. It's simply gorgeous out here.
Once you've had your fill of the mountain views, waterfalls (while in season) and climbing, all that's left is to head back home. Fortunately, 7.1 miles isn't too long, but the climbing and sightseeing does add to the day if you love to take photos.
The trail is a medium difficulty loop, so make sure you're wearing comfortable hiking shoes that can stand the elevation gain. Visiting this trail does cost the $5 park entry fee, unless you have your South Carolina Park pass with you. Be prepared.
