1. Calhoun Falls State Park - Calhoun Falls
The hidden secret is out... this is considered one of the best campgrounds in the state park system. The sites are located in wooded spots dotting the shoreline of Lake Russell, and offer up unparalleled water views. 3. Kings Mountain State Park - Blacksburg
Two lakes and a living history farm are among the fun attractions at this state park in the Piedmont. 4. Andrew Jackson State Park - Lancaster

5. Poinsett State Park - Wedgefield
Some of the coziest and cutest cabins in the state park system are located in this park located in Sumter County. Here, you'll find 25 miles of trails, a lake for swimming, fishing and boating, and limited non-motorized boat rentals. If you prefer camping to staying in their rustic cabins, then there are 24 sites; some that are large enough for a 40-foot RV. 6. Baker Creek State Park - McCormick
Baker Creek State Park is a seasonal park that's typically open March 1 through September 30. A host of campsites located along the shores of Thurmond Lake dish up picturesque views and offer easy access to recreational opportunities on the lake. 7. Lake Warren State Park - Hampton
Enjoy a gorgeous sunset over Lake Warren, a day park with no overnight accommodations. The 200-acre lake is perfect for fishing too.
