Right now, Southern Hills Lavender farm is a sea of purple!
They planted their first lavender seeds ahead of the 2015 season.Typically, newly planted lavender plants reach their fullest in their third season.
2017 is THAT season! And you can go pick your own.
The "u-pick" season at this fragrant paradise began on May 12, 2017 and extends into June.
Last year during their first u-pick season the farm had an overwhelming response!
Hundreds of people showed up and folks stocked up on loads of fresh lavender.
This year the rows of lavender are even thicker than last! And a trip here will make your spring unforgettable!
If you want to go, you'll need to make a reservation in advance. The dates can be found here.
There are 12 scheduled U-pick days set for Fridays and Saturdays through June 17, 2017. A limited number of reservations are being accepted for each date.
The cost is $4.00 per person (ages 8 and up, under 7 is free). Register in advance at this link. Heads up: according to their website, advance online registration and ticket purchase is required.
