Rhode Islanders who dread the cold months of winter can celebrate. The Old Farmer's Almanac recently released their upcoming winter forecast for 2018-2019 and it looks like the Ocean State is in store for some warmer weather than usual. Read on to see what they have to say...
While everyone dreams of a snowy white Christmas, a warm winter has its advantages.
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, temperatures should be warmer than average this year.
Although temperatures will be up, we can also expect more precipitation than usual but much of it will be rain instead of snow.
The snowiest times will be in early December, late January, and early February.
While we can't get rid of our winter coats and snow shovels, we can look forward to a milder winter.
February is predicted to be warmer and drier than past years, so maybe it will seem like spring even earlier this year.
Above average temperatures and below normal precipitation mean some unexpected blue skies this winter. And maybe even an off-season beach day or two.
We'll have to wait and see if these predictions come true and to see how accurate they are. You can take a look yourself on the Old Farmer's Almanac website. What do you think about this upcoming winter forecast? Are you excited or disappointed? Let us know how you feel in the comments section below.
