It's hard to imagine anyone in America who hasn't heard to the legacy of a New England Winter. The East Coast certainly has is benefits, but our winters are known to show us many types of unpleasant weather, the kind that often locks us down in our homes for days on end. While it can be truly beautiful, sometimes the season stretches on for ages. It's easy get a little pent up and start developing a case of cabin fever!
After all, with how gorgeous the fall is here, even with holidays to look forward to and seeing family and friends, it can start to feel lonely when you get snowed in and have to dress so heavily to even leave the house for a moment.
Luckily, this year is looking like it might provide a slight reprieve!
So far, according to the Farmers Almanac, it looks like the end of fall and start of winter will be warmer and more bearable than in previous years.
More rain is predicted (what else is new, it's New England,) but temperatures are slightly higher and predictions for heavy and regular snow and occasional storms don't start until late January and peter out in February.
So it looks like there will be a bit of an extended fall season for us all to enjoy, which is a relief to all, especially considering how late sweater weather arrived this year!
