Brimming with beauty and opportunities for adventure, Rhode Island lakes, in particular, are definitely worth visiting! Here are seven of the best lakes in Rhode Island that you won’t want to miss this summer.
1. Lake Washington, Glocester
This beautiful 41-acre lake is found in Glocester. Kayaking, swimming, and fishing are wonderful activities to enjoy here. Glocester has a lot more to offer than one of the most beautiful lakes in Rhode Island, though. It’s also one of the state’s most peaceful small towns.
2. Aldersgate Lake, Burrillville
Aldersgate Lake is a lovely place for fishing and boating in northern Rhode Island.
3. Edgewood Lake, Providence
Edgewood Lake can be found just outside of Cranston in the southern end of Providence. It's a great place to sit aside and take in the sunshine. One of the most popular of all Rhode Island lakes isn’t the only thing near Cranston, though. One of the most unique towns in the world is also just a short distance from Cranston.
4. Lake Mishnock, West Greenwich
Lake Mishnock is a stunning recreational lake found in the beautiful town of West Greenwich. The mostly residential lake is more than 40 acres in size. After visiting one of the best lakes in Rhode Island, stick around West Greenwich to explore this desert in Rhode Island.
5. Roosevelt Lake, Providence
Roosevelt Lake is found in Roger Williams Park and is perfect to rent a paddleboat and go exploring. In addition to being home to Roosevelt Lake, Roger Williams Park boasts several other amazing amenities, including a botanical garden and zoo.
6. Wallum Lake, Burrillville
Wallum Lake is a picturesque place ideal for fishing, swimming, and boating! And of all Rhode Island lakes, it offers some of the best kayaking.
7. Silver Spring Lake, North Kingstown
