A stroll through rows and rows of Christmas trees can be just what we need to get in the holiday spirit. After all, nothing quite compares to the smell of a fresh tree or the feel of the crispness in the winter air. Even if you’ve already put up and decorated your tree, you might still want to visit this beloved Christmas tree farm in Rhode Island.
Wander around Big John Leyden’s Tree Farm in West Greenwich, where you’re sure to find the perfect Christmas tree.
A favorite Rhode Island destination for more than four decades, the family-owned tree farm has earned accolades as the state’s best tree farm and the United States’ second best. You might even have seen it featured on CBS.
Big John Leyden’s Tree Farm isn’t a cut your own, but you can explore the rows and rows of trees. When you find the perfect one, one of the staff will cut and bale your tree for you then put it in or on your vehicle.
The popular Christmas tree farm grows more than 100,000 trees in 10 varieties. That means you have a ton of choices – whether you’re looking for a tiny or a towering tree.
Find a beautiful selection of trees, including blue spruce, white pine, and Douglas fir.
While you won’t need a saw, you’ll definitely want to bring your camera along. Snap photos of the whole family in front of the 20-foot-tall Santa and of the kids hanging out in the antique fire truck.
Tagging trees at the farm usually begins in mid-November while Christmas trees are available throughout December. Keep up-to-date with days and hours on the farm's website and social media.
