It's always nice to spend time among flowers and plants. The air just seems fresher and more invigorating, doesn't it? Finding a new botanical garden in Pennsylvania is one of our great joys in life. Especially in the spring when gardens come to life, or in the summer when we feel like sitting in the shade on a garden bench. Here are some beautiful gardens in the state of Pennsylvania that we think you'll love.
1. Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square
Longwood Gardens is, without a doubt, the premiere garden destination in Pennsylvania. With over 1,077 acres to explore, there might be too many roses for you to stop and smell them all.

2. Rose Gardens, Allentown
The Rose Gardens in Allentown have been a landmark of the city for as long as anyone can remember. Nestled in Cedar Creek Park, they offer a scenic place for pictures or relaxation.
3. Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Pittsburgh
Located in Schenley Park, Phipps is a giant conservatory with rooms for all different environments, such as desert and rainforest.
4. The Arboretum at Penn State
This is Penn State's second arboretum and is located adjacent to the State College campus. The Arboretum at Penn State is a quiet place to enjoy a warm Pennsylvnaia afternoon surrounded by beauty.
5. Arboretum of the Barnes Foundation, Merion
You must make a reservation and pay a fee before entering the gardens at the Barnes Foundation Arboretum. They contain thousands of species and has been existent since the 1880s.
6. Chanticleer Garden, Wayne
Chanticleer Garden was added to the national register of historic places in 1984. It has a wonderful enchanted garden vibe that we fell in love with the first time we entered.
7. Lake Erie Arboretum
Lake Erie Arboretum is a free arboretum located in Frontier Park in Erie. It has a variety of different trees and plants.
8. Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden, Pittsburgh
The Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden is on the same grounds as Rodef Shalom Temple, which houses Western Pennsylvania's oldest Jewish congregation.
