Others are planned, maybe even a dream come true, like watching dolphins leap in the ocean from your tour boat. Create lifelong memories when you feed the giraffes during this incredibly unique wildlife experience in Pennsylvania.
Elmwood Park Zoo offers visitors an incredibly unique opportunity to feed some of its beloved residents. Of course, the most popular of them just might be the giraffes.
Three giraffes - Dhoruba, Gerald, and Mokolo - call Elmwood Park Zoo home. The three males arrived at the zoo in 2016 and have since delighted visitors by eagerly accepting their food.
So, add an extra bit of excitement to your trip to the zoo by visiting and feeding the three adorable fellas.
Really, could you say no to this face? Members pay $3 to feed the giraffes while non-members pay $4.
Feed the giraffes from one of two observations decks (weather permitting).
But, don't stop there. You can also feed bison, birds, and barn animals.
Pop on over to the observation deck overlooking the bison to meet and to feed Dakota, Wendy, and Francis. The attraction costs $3 for zoo members and $4 for non-members.
Visit the trio of ladies daily, weather-permitting, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Then, after feeding the bison, head over to the Birds of Paradise exhibit. Hang out with the "canary-winged parakeets" and the sun conures. Entering is free. But, if you want to feed the birds, food costs $2 for members and $3 for non-members.
Of course, a visit to the zoo wouldn't be the same without stopping by to hang out with the sheep and the goats. Barn food costs one dollar for all visitors.
Meet the goats and sheep, weather-permitting, at the top of each hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Elmwood Park Zoo welcomes guests daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, admission ends at 4:30 p.m.
