Pennsylvania’s landscape always offers striking views – from the snow-capped, rolling hills in the winter to the vibrant colors of the blossoming flowers in the spring. A visit to Blooming Meadows Farm in Pennsylvania during the warmer months offers the chance to stroll through a field of beautiful flowers. Cut your own, or simply stop to smell your favorites at this picture-perfect day trip destination in Pennsylvania.
Meander through a field of flowers at Blooming Meadows Farm in Watsontown, which welcomes guests seasonally on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
The farm provides everything you need to cut and bring your flowers home. However, you can bring your own bucket (it must be clean) to transport the flowers home.
Choose from three sizes of buckets, which you’ll use for picking only, that you’ll fill with gorgeous flowers. Small buckets are $20; medium cost $40, and large have a $100 price tag.
You’ll likely want to wear comfy shoes for your time in the field. Just take care not to step on any of the garden beds.
Once you’ve picked flowers, put them in the bucket, which will have ample water, immediately. That will help ensure your flowers remain fresh for the rest of your adventure and the journey home.
If you’ve had a ton of fun picking flowers, check out the classes the farm hosts. From craft workshops to instruction on floral design, Blooming Meadows Farm offers something for guests of all ages.
Plan your visit on the official website of Blooming Meadows Farm. Or, stop by its Facebook page.
