If you've never been to a flower farm, give yourself plenty of time to really soak up the experience. When it opens for the season, Country Joy Flowers welcomes visitors...
Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Be sure to arrive well ahead of closing time because u-pick ends precisely on time.
Guests pay $25 for a three-gallon bucket that you can fill with all of your favorite flowers. Country Joy Flowers estimates that one bucket will result in several bouquets.
If you absolutely love the u-pick experience, you can even sign up for a subscription service, which offers a discounted rate for weekly visits.
You can bring along your own shears or use ones the farm provides. If you don't bring your own bucket, you can purchase one at the farm for a nominal fee.
Keep a few tips in mind before making your way to Country Joy Flowers. Always check ahead of time to make sure the flower farm is open before heading over.
Comfortable, appropriate shoes for a farm setting are strongly encouraged. Well-behaved kids are welcome, but pets are not to keep the beloved resident animals safe and happy.
