Fall is in the air and the vibrant colors of autumn are decking out the trees. It's a great time to head out on an easy hike to enjoy the fall foliage and the paths at the Tillamook Forest Center immerse you in the beauty of the season.
Autumn is the perfect time to visit the Tillamook Forest Center, located at 45500 Wilson River Hwy., Tillamook, OR 97141.
The vibrant reds and yellows of the big leaf maples stand out against the rich green hues of the Douglas fir and Western hemlock, creating the most beautiful scenery you've ever laid eyes on.
The forest center has plenty to see and do, but for a fun fall hike, you'll want to take a stroll on one of the walking paths. There are several paths to choose from, and you might want to explore all of them!
Explore the Wilson River along the River View Trail, which is less than a half-mile long, or cross the bridge to the longer Wilson River Trail, which stretches 1.7 miles all the way to Wilson Falls.

Enjoy a quick jaunt on the Lookout Loop trail, which is a mere stroll at only 0.2 miles, and explore the Springview Loop Trail, which takes you just 0.7 miles through the forest. No matter which trails you choose, you'll find terrain that's easy enough for just about any visitor to navigate.
Immerse yourself in the maples...
...and watch for elk! These majestic mammals are frequent visitors at the Tillamook Forest Center.
Bring your camera, because you'll definitely want to capture the picturesque scenes along the trails here.
To learn even more about the forest, take a guided tour. The Tillamook Forest Center is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the fall. It's closed from December through February, so plan your trip now!
