There's nothing we love more than a delicious, gourmet meal, served by caring and considerate staff. Throw in the beauty of a historic location, and we're hooked! The Joel Palmer House Restaurant has all of that and more, including a host of menu items that include wild mushrooms gathered right here in Oregon.
Welcome to the The Joel Palmer House Restaurant! The home was built by Oregon pioneer Joel Palmer back in 1857, and was purchased by Jack and Heidi Czarnecki in 1996.
Today, son Christopher Czarnecki owns and operates the restaurant, and is the executive chef.
He's carrying on a legacy that goes all the way back to his great-grandfather, who owned a tavern in Pennsylvania back in 1906. Family, history, and a love of wild mushrooms all come together to make The Joel Palmer House Restaurant a success.
Step inside this beautiful home, and you'll find an elegant setting. There's plenty of historic charm here! The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Joel Palmer House Restaurant is the perfect place for a romantic date or special event.
The focus of the cuisine here is wild mushrooms - something the Czarnecki family has been passionate about for years.
The mushrooms are gathered up right here in Oregon, and used to create some of the most spectacular, gourmet dishes ever.
The menu changes depending on what's in season, but you'll always find an array of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Almost everything on the menu includes wild mushrooms from Oregon. Find them paired with beef, fish, lamb, pasta, and more.
If you want to get a "taste" for wild mushrooms, order the Mushroom Madness Tasting Menu! It includes Joel's Wild Mushroom Soup or a salad, a three mushroom tart or escargots, wild salmon or angel hair pasta, duck breast or rack of lamb, and a dessert.
The Joel Palmer House Restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations are required, so make yours in advance here.
