The buds are beginning to blossom, the sun is peaking out from behind the clouds... Spring is coming around the bend and we couldn't be more excited. Take a look at these gorgeous trails in Oregon that are perfect for a springtime adventure. From wildflower fields to hidden waterfalls, these 12 hikes will blow you away this spring.
12. McCall Point Hike.
The beautiful McCall Point Hike takes off from Rowena Crest, located in Northern Oregon between Hood River and the Dalles. This hike is perfect for late spring when the landscape is covered in colorful wildflowers.
11. Abiqua Falls Hike
Located easy of Salem, this lovely hike is slightly less than a mile each way, but it certainly isn't lacking in scenery. You'll have to climb over some rocks and logs, but the trail is quite easy overall, and ends in a stunning basalt amphitheater where you'll find the beautiful Abiqua Falls.
10. Lost Lake Loop Hike
This easy, scenic 3.2 mile loop hike around Lost Lake is absolutely lovely. If you're looking for a longer or more challenging hike, try out Lost Lake Butte Hike or Buck Peak Hike in the same area.
9. Natural Bridges Cove Trail.
The Natural Bridges Cove Trail (AKA North Island Viewpoint Trail) is located in the Samuel Boardman State Park near Brookings. This 2.5 mile, moderately easy hike is absolutely lovely and leads you to a breathtaking viewpoint.
8. Misery Ridge at Smith Rock State Park.
Despite it's unattractive name, Misery Ridge is an amazing 3.8 mile loop hike at the beautiful Smith Rock State Park in the high desert of central Oregon.
7. Sweet Creek Trail.
This scenic 2.4-mile trail in the Suislaw National Forest follows the beautiful Sweet Creek and passes several waterfalls.
6. Mount Howard and the Walllowa Mountains.
The Wallowa Mountains are full of amazing hiking opportunities. One easy way to explore these peaks is to take the Wallowa Lake Tramway up to Mount Howard and hike the short nature trails you'll find at the summit.
5. Plaikni Falls Trail.
This pleasant 2 mile hike is located near Chiloquin and leads to the majestic Plaikni Falls
4. Mary's Peak Summit Hike.
Mary's Peak is the highest point in the Coastal Range. From the summit you can see miles and miles of ocean and rolling, forested hills. There is a meadow at the top that is particularly beautiful during late spring when the wildflowers bloom vibrantly. Located in the Suislaw National Forest, the trail to the summit is 1.5 miles long but there are opportunities for longer hikes as well.
3. Toketee and Watson Falls.
Nestled into the forest in Douglas County are the beautiful Toketee Falls and Watson Falls. Take a short .8 mile hike to Toketee Falls and continue on another .8 mile hike to Watson Falls to experience these two lovely cascades.
2. Tumalo Falls Trail.
Located near Bend in the Deschutes National Forest, This trail is 5.7 miles long and leads to the gorgeous Tumalo Falls.
1. The Trail of Ten Falls in Silver Falls State Park.
One of the most famous features of the beautiful Silver Falls State Park is the Trail of Ten Falls, a gorgeous 8.7 mile loop hike that will lead you past (and under) 10 stunning waterfalls.
