There is no shortage of pumpkin patches around Portland. With ample farmland surrounding us, we are lucky to have so many great options. Here are nine of the best around the city, and now the choice is in selecting which direction you want to head and what else you want to do when you get there. Forget the single-stop pumpkin patch of your childhood and choose one of these entertaining pumpkin patches that have enough activity to keep the family engaged all afternoon.
1. Bella Organic Farm
Sauvie Island's organic farm serves up a wide selection of pumpkins, along with a petting zoo, hayrides, a corn maze and lots of other family-friendly activities.
2. The Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island has a great selection of Big Moon pumpkins if you are in the market for a giant one this year. They have plenty of other varieties as well, along with a big red barn petting zoo and corn maze.
3. Kruger's Farm
Pick up a pumpkin and much more at Kruger's Farm on Sauvie Island. Featuring entertainment, a corn maze, and food and beer stands on the weekends, this is the place to be for fall fun.
4. Bauman's Farm and Garden
Celebrate the harvest in Gervais at this family farm and have your choice of pumpkins. Hay rides, corn maze (complete with tunnels) and petting farm are just some of the fun features here.
5. Fazio Farms
If you want to stay in Portland, Fazio Farms has you covered. This North Portland farm features a petting zoo, corn maze, hay maze and a wide selection of pumpkins.
6. Lee Farms
Featuring 27 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, Lee Farms has you covered when looking for the perfect pumpkin. There is fun for the whole family in Tualatin with hay and corn mazes, farm animals, and wagon and pony rides.
7. Roloff Farms
Made famous by the family's starring in the TLC show "Little People, Big World," the Roloff Farm in Hillsboro hosts a wonderful fall festival complete with wagon and pony rides, a spooky forest trail, farm animals, and mini golf.
8. Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm
Come fall, the sight of the Tulip Festival is transformed into a Field of Terror. During the day though, there are plenty of non-scary events for kids such as cow trains, duck races and slides. Of course, there are plenty of pumpkins to choose from as well.
9. Bushue's Family Farm
Along with pumpkin fields galore, this Boring farm features pumpkin bowling, a hay slide, and wagon rides.
