You have lots of dining choices when you visit Oregon's coast, but it's a special treat to dine with an ocean view! Here's a restaurant that offers endless views and excellent food:
As you drive up Highway 101 on the Oregon Coast, you'll catch a glimpse of the Inn at Spanish Head on the far south end of Lincoln City. Perched high on the cliff above the ocean, it's easy to miss from the highway.
If you're approaching from the south, you'll want to watch for a sign on your right that directs you to a parking lot across the street from the inn. You can park there, or drive through a tunnel that runs underneath the road to reach the inn. From the north, you'll pull directly into the parking lot. The address of the inn is 4009 SW Hwy 101, Lincoln City, OR 97367.
From the beach, you can see just how large this hotel really is! Fathoms Restaurant is located on the top floor.
From its perch high above, Fathoms has one of the best ocean views on the coast! You'll also love the atmosphere of the Spanish-style architecture and the excellent service offered here.
The views are spectacular! Depending on your seat, you can see miles and miles of beach and coastline...
...or watch endless waves wash ashore. The waves far below are mesmerizing.
Keep an eye out for whales, too. Do you see the whale near the bottom of this photo?
Of course, if you visit in the evening, you might be treated to a sunset like this. Spectacular!
To score a window seat at Fathoms, you'll want an advanced reservation. This place fills up almost every night. Call 541-994-1601 to reserve your table.
The food at Fathom's Restaurant is as incredible as the view. You'll enjoy fresh seafood and delicious steaks, as well as a wide array of other entrees that will please every palate.
One last tip for the ladies. You'll want to visit the restroom while you're here. The entire west wall is floor-to-ceiling windows with this view!
Get a peek at the full menu by visiting the Fathoms Restaurant page on the inn's website.
If you're looking for a more casual dining experience on the coast, check out this humble little fish market - the seafood is delicious.
