Nothing says fall like getting lost in a corn maze. Whether you prefer the slightly more breathtaking haunted maze or want to wander through the maze in daylight hours (the best choice with young children), this is the list of the top spots around Portland to escape to this fall. Many farms have a variety of entertainment to keep you and your children occupied for hours. The problem is choosing just one of these corn mazes around Portland. Or, go ahead and visit them all!
1. Bella Organic Farm
Every year Bella Organic Farms gives a nod to something fun and interesting with its corn maze. From sports teams to something a little more frightening like a haunted corn maze shaped like a stormtrooper from Star Wars, you never quite know what kind of corn maze adventure you're going to enjoy here!
2. The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island
The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island is a popular Portland area attraction. One year the corn maze detailed Peanuts characters in its design and also featured a Snoopy handing out hugs before entering the maze. How fun is that!
3. Fazio Farms
If you don't want to head out to Sauvie Island, Fazio Farms is a great place to visit. Located in North Portland, this working farm has a corn maze, a petting farm, a hay maze, and more. The farm also has a great selection of specialty pumpkins during the fall season.
4. Topaz Farm (formerly Kruger's Farm)
Topaz Farm (formerly Kruger's Farm) always creates a seriously fun corn maze. In years past, they have upped the Portland area entertainment value by having a variety of performers outside of the maze on selected days. Shown here is the "Corn Cabaret," featuring eclectic performances that are fun for both children and adults.
5. Lee Farms
Small but no less mighty, there is a three-acre corn maze, pony rides, giant slides, and more awaiting you at this fun family-owned attraction.
6. Baggenstos Farm
Editor's Note: We're sorry to say that after many years of service to the community, Baggenstos Farm is permanently closed, however, the entity called c.w. Baggenstos Tree Farm is still in operation.
The maze at Baggenstos Farms is open from late September through October 31st and can be visited daily, or at night in the dark on the weekends. Along with all the fall fun activities, the farm has a kitchen serving up sausages and fries on the weekends.
