Fall has officially arrived, which means it's time for a trip to the pumpkin patch. Fortunately, Oregon has several charming pumpkin patches that will make it easy to find the pumpkin of your dreams. In addition to pumpkins, these farms also feature fun fall activities for the whole family.

Here are a few of our favorite pumpkin patches to visit in the Beaver State:

1. Mahaffy Ranch (Coos Bay)

There's a reason hundreds of families visit Mahaffy Ranch every day during the month of October. This warm and inviting farm has a charming u-pick pumpkin patch, magical corn maze, hay rides, and a variety of fall-themed goodies, including the one-of-a-kind apple cider donuts. The ranch is open Monday-Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is located at 10362 Hwy. 241, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

2. The Pumpkin Patch (Portland)

For more than 50 years, The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island has been a fall tradition for Oregonians. Free October activities include the Original Corn Maize, animal barn, hay maze, the giant hay pyramid, and hay rides out to the pumpkin patch. The farm is located at 16511 NW Gillihan Rd., Portland, OR 97231.

3. Baggenstos Farm (Sherwood)

Baggenstos is filled with fun and excitement during the fall months. Starting September 30, visitors can hop on the hay ride and choose from a wide selection of perfectly ripe pumpkins. Pumpkins range from $4-$10. There is also a corn maze, fun fall signs and cut-outs, and farm animals. Baggenstos is located at 15801 SW Roy Rogers Rd., Sherwood, OR 97140.

4. Roloff Farms (Hillsboro)

If you're a fan of the TV show "Little People Big World" you are probably familiar with Roloff Farms. Run by the Roloff family, this fantastic farm offers a wide variety of fun activities, including wagon tours, pony rides, and a delicious food corner. Their impressive pumpkin selection features white "Ghost" pumpkins and mini gourds. Pumpkin season runs from September 30 to October 29. The farm is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located at 23985 NW Grossen Dr., Hillsboro, OR 97124.

5. Pheasant Fields Farm (Medford)

With over 30 different pumpkin varieties to choose from, it's easy to find the pumpkin of your dreams at Pheasant Fields Farm. The farm's Harvest Festival is filled with wonderful adventures, including hay rides, a cow train, a corn maze, and a narrated wagon ride. Don't forget to try "Grandma's Caramel Apple"! The farm is open every weekend in October from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located at 1865 Camp Baker Rd., Medford, OR 97501.

6. Val's Veggies Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze (Baker City)

Find the perfect pumpkin and enjoy a scavenger hunt corn maze at Val's Veggies. This charming farm is open in October on Fridays (from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Saturdays (from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. only), and Sundays (from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). It is located at 44889 Houghton Creek Rd., Baker City, OR 97814.

7. Lone Pine Farms (Junction City)

Lone Pine Farms is the perfect place for a fun family outing. The pumpkins here come in every shape and size imaginable, and there is also a haunted corn maze. The farm is open every weekend in October and located at 91909 River Rd., Junction City, OR 97448.

8. Smith Rock Ranch (Terrebonne)

With spectacular views of Smith Rock in the background, this is probably the most picturesque pumpkin patch in Oregon. Smith Rock Ranch also features archery, an animal house, barnyard golf, pumpkin cannons, a corn maze, and a harvest market. The ranch is open daily starting October 1, with the pumpkin patch and market open Tuesday-Thursday and activities running Friday-Sunday. It is located at 1250 NE Wilcox Ave., Terrebonne, OR 97760.

9. E.Z. Orchards Farm Market (Salem)

E.Z. Orchards is the place to be in October. Since 1996 this farm has been ringing in the harvest with its u-pick pumpkin patch and Oregon-shaped corn maze. Admission is free on weekdays and costs $8 on weekends. Activities start on September 30 and run through the month of October. E.Z. Orchards is located at 5504 Hazelgreen Rd. NE, Salem, OR 97305.

10. Fort Vannoy Farms (Grants Pass)

Celebrate the harvest in style at Fort Vannoy Farms. This farm has a plethora of pumpkins to choose from, as well as a spectacular haunted corn maze, zip line, old time tractor show, and a pumpkin chunker. It is open daily starting October 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located at 5791 Lower River Rd., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

11. Fir Point Farms (Aurora)

You're sure to be charmed by this family-owned farm. In addition to the delightful 6 acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch, guests can enjoy a petting zoo, nut house, paintball gallery, and delicious apple cider. The farm is open every weekend in October starting at 10:00 a.m. and is located at 14601 NE Arndt Rd., Aurora, OR 97002.

12. French Prairie Gardens & Family Farm (St. Paul)

Visit French Prairie Gardens for picture perfect pumpkins, pig races, corn and hay mazes, a farm ninja challenge, and more. The fall activities run daily from October 7 to October 31. The farm is located at 17673 French Prairie Rd. NE, St. Paul, OR 97137.
