News just broke that some cities in the state won't be opening their city-owned swimming pools this summer, which means you'll have to find new springs, lakes, and rivers to cool off in when the hot weather arrives. The good news is, we have lots of great places to choose from in Oklahoma. One such place is Blue Hole Park in Salina. This privately-owned place has some of the cleanest and clearest water in the state and you'll definitely want to put it on your summer bucket list.

Bring your water shoes and enjoy the ice-cold spring water that feeds this spot. The rocks are a little bothersome but the crystal blue water is worth the drive at Blue Hole Park.
The price of admission is only $10 per carload. Bring all your lounge chairs and coolers because you'll most likely want to spend all day here. They do have concession stands open on select days. Please check their Facebook page when the summer schedule is announced.

There are also some neat rock formations and places for the kids to catch minnows.
It's a little oasis that boasts crystal, blue water that ranges in temperature from about 40-50 degrees. That might sound cold, but in the middle of summer, it feels incredible!
Just look how clear the water is. This photo was taken underneath the surface and if you look closely you can see a small fish.
The swimming hole features shallow areas for young swimmers and can reach up to 17 feet deep for those looking to snorkel or float.
Blue Hole is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and is a very affordable place to take the family. Weekends can get crowded, so we recommend visiting during the week. Click here to visit their Facebook page for more details.
