1. Lake Texoma

One of the nation’s premier inland striped bass fisheries is Lake Texoma. Because Lake Texoma is on the border, anglers fishing the Texas side must purchase a Texas fishing license, while anglers on the Oklahoma side must purchase an Oklahoma fishing license. Lake Texoma is well rounded and offers ample opportunities to catch a variety of species including trophy-sized blue catfish, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, gar and paddlefish.

2. Flint Creek

Flint Creek is a stream located just 15 miles from Westville, in northeast Oklahoma. It is a gorgeous little stream absolutely loaded with smallies and an occasional spotted and largemouth bass.

3. Quanah Parker Lake

For beautiful surroundings, head out to Quanah Parker Lake in Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. The lake offers 89 surface acres of water within three miles of shoreline. Although small, you'll still catch Channel catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, sunfish and a few other species.

4. Lake Eufaula

Being the largest lake in Oklahoma, approximately 600 miles of shoreline and 102,200 surface acres offers plenty of fishing opportunity. Lake Eufaula is a favorite for black bass, crappie, white bass, and lunker catfish. There's also a growing population of Kentucky bass as well.

5. Deep Fork River

If you like chasing Oklahoma catfish by kayak, you will want to take your kayak down to this spot as soon as possible. You can access the Deep Fork River in a number of places near Okmulgee or at the bridge near Nuyaka Creek Winery.

6. Grand Lake

Grand Lake is widely considered to be among the best fishing lakes in Oklahoma. And with over 46,000 surface acres and over 1,300 miles of shoreline, there is something for everyone. Enormous catfish, championship bass fishing and more crappie than you could ever eat are just part of the Grand Lake fishing legend.

7. Glover River

The Glover River is an excellent fly fishing stream. It is a 33-mile-long tributary of the Little River in the Ouachita Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma and is considered by many to be the best small-mouth stream in Oklahoma.

8. Broken Bow Lake

The 22-mile long lake lies in the Ouachita Mountains in southeastern Oklahoma, and its crystal blue waters provide a variety of water recreation. Broken Bow Lake's crystal clear waters provide one of the best year-round fishing spots in Oklahoma. Fish species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white (sand) bass, crappie, channel catfish, flathead catfish and various species of sunfish.

9. Upper Mountain Fork River

Upper Mountain Fork River in southeastern Oklahoma is located just northeast of Broken Bow. The cool waters issuing below Broken Bow dam provide year round habitat and fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout which are stocked regularly throughout the year.

10. Lake Tenkiller & Illinois River

Year-round fishing is good with black bass, white bass, striped bass, crappie, catfish, bream and walleye, with rainbow and brown trout stocked in the Illinois River below the dam. The trout fishery on the river attracts many visitors, as does the Illinois River above the lake which attracts canoeist and rafters. Three heated fishing docks offer winter fun for crappie fishing. Lake Tenkiller is a popular lake for fishing tournaments. Striped bass are also common in the lower Illinois River with several state record fish coming from its waters.
