Here is the thing: Ohio is severely underrated as a beautiful state. Those who live here and those who have simply come on vacation here all know it to be true. After all, it's home to some of the Great Lakes, amazing state parks, and gorgeous forests.
So, where should one go if they're looking to see some of Ohio's natural beauty? Well, one of the most magical and unique natural attractions in Ohio has to be Whispering Cave, a stunning cave and waterfall that only recently opened to the public.
Whispering Cave is one of the amazing caves located in Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio.
It only recently opened to the public -- just back in 2017.
The cave itself is 300 feet wide and has a 150-foot waterfall in it.
You'll find all kinds of interesting rocks and geological formations here, too.
There is just so much to learn and discover.
The hike to Whispering Cave is short -- only about 1.5 miles long. It should take you about half an hour.
Keep in mind, though, that it's not an easy trail per se; it gets rugged and steep in some parts!
However, there is a lot of fun to be had on the trail before you even get to the cave.
Enjoy some cliffs, stairs, and even the first swinging bridge in Hocking Hills State Park.
And soon enough, you'll be exploring Whispering Cave and its waterfall.
Once you're there, any sweat and tears will truly be worth it. It's such a beautiful, peaceful sight.
Whispering Cave is accessible all year round, and open all day as well. Once you're done exploring here, you can make your way to other caves and attractions in Hocking Hills State Park.
