1. Ledge Pool, 1151 Ledge Rd., Hinckley
The Ledge Pool and Recreation Area are hidden gem swimming spots in the Hinckley Reservation. In this pool, many locals have attended learn-to-swim classes and other special events, including the Dog Paddle and Pet-a-Palooza (pictured here).
2. Villa Angela Beach, 850 Euclid Creek Pkwy., Cleveland
Once upon a time, crowds flooded this beautiful beach in Cleveland when it was a part of Euclid Beach Amusement Park. Today, it continues to entertain guests, but its landscape is much more natural than it formerly was. The gorgeous Euclid Creek Reservation features a stunning 900-foot shoreline where visitors can swim, but the site is not monitored, so you'll want to bring a buddy during your visit.
3. Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 S. River Rd., Munroe Falls
If you ever find yourself just south of Cleveland in the summer, you simply must experience the incredible Summit County Metro Parks. Munroe Falls Metro Park is particularly beautiful, and its lake provides a great place to cool off on particularly warm days. Whether you're craving sand or shade, there's a beach on this charming lake that is definitely one of the best swimming spots near Cleveland!
4. Edgewater Beach, 6500 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway, Cleveland
On the lower half of Edgewater Park is a gorgeous stretch of beach that features splendid sunsets. The dreamy swimming spot offers an urban escape with the Cleveland skyline as a backdrop, and the panoramic views of the city will blow you away. We think you'll agree that your time here makes for an especially unforgettable visit.
5. Wallace Lake, Valley Pkwy., Berea
Sun and sand go together swimmingly, and you'll find just that at this picturesque lake. Tucked away in Mill Stream Run Reservation, this gorgeous 17.6-acre lake, one of the most popular natural swimming holes near Cleveland, provides a dreamy getaway off of one of the most beautiful drives in Cleveland.
6. Euclid Beach, 16301 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland
Just a stone's throw from Villa Angela Beach is the beautiful Euclid Beach, a dreamy 650 foot stretch of coast featuring both sun and shade. Here, remnants of Euclid Creek Reservation's former life as Euclid Beach Amusement Park are still visible. It is also one of the most picturesque beaches in Ohio.
7. Silver Creek Metro Park, 5000 Hametown Rd., Norton
Just south of Cleveland in the Greater Akron area is a charming little swim area with roots that go back to the Civil War. This lake is situated on what was once the Harter Dairy Farm, surrounded by former coal mines. While you can get a glimpse into the past at this pretty place, you can also soak up some sun in a 50-acre lake. The lake is fed by a spring from a former mine, so you're sure to experience history in a truly unique way at this pretty park.
8. Huntington Beach, 28649 Lake Rd., Bay Village
Nestled against Lake Erie's shore in Bay Village is a lovely little chunk of shoreline where locals love to spend entire days. Whether you're dipping your toes in the water or picnicking, you will be treated to incredible views of a breathtaking landscape. Near the beach are two other exciting attractions: the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center and BAYarts.

9. Hinckley Lake, Bellus Rd., Hinckley
Hidden in the gorgeous Hinckley Reservation is an incredible 87-acre lake that's beautiful all year long. It is particularly magical in the summer, however, when its adjacent Spillway Swim Area opens to the public. Though petite, this hidden gem is perfect for families!
