1. Cedar Point Beach, Cedar Point
You'd be surprised how many people don't know about Cedar Point Beach in Sandusky. After a day (or two) of roller coaster mania, relax on the shores of Lake Erie at this beautiful beach.
2. Long's Retreat Resort, Latham
This southern Ohio family resort in Latham has transformed its swimming hole into a mini water park, complete with a splash pad, diving board and three water slides. Camp here and make a weekend out of it.
3. Dow Lake, Athens
Strouds Run State Park in Athens County features multiple hiking trails, cabin getaways and peaceful swimming and boating on Dow Lake.
4. Salt Fork Lake Beach, Lore City

Within the 26,824-acre Zaleski State Forest in McArthur, you'll find the quiet, peaceful Lake Hope State Park and its little-known beach. With a much more digestible 2,983 acres waiting to be explored in this state park, you'll easily spend hours appreciating the natural landscape.
11. Indian Lake State Park , Lakeview
Indian Lake State Park in Lakeview features two public beaches: Old Field Beach and Fox Island Beach. Boating and water skiing are other popular activities here. With 800 acres to explore, this park is a summertime favorite for many.
