Ohio is full of several parks that are truly unique. (Be sure to check out this one-of-a-kind park.) Near Cincinnati, you'll find one of the most impressive parks in the state. Blue Ash is home to the beloved Summit Park, which used to be an airport. Today, it's an epic playground, complete with cafes, water to play in, an observation tower and so much more.
Here's why this insanely fun park belongs on your family's bucket list this spring and summer:
What was once an airport is now a 130-acre park that features some of the most unique playground equipment and amenities.
You'll find it at 4335 Glendale Milford Rd., Blue Ash, OH 45242.
Much of the park still showcases its aviation history. As an added bonus, there are restrooms and restaurants within the park.

While adults will certainly enjoy the indoor amenities, kids will have a blast playing on the playground equipment. The small mounds are especially fun to slide down.
Fun fact: The park received its name because it's one of the highest points in Hamilton County.
There's also a Nature Playscape, which features Earth elements such as water, sand and sticks. Kids will love the variety.
This is one playground that encourages sensory play, imagination and creativity.
The observation tower is another neat feature of this one-of-a-kind park. You can climb 150 stairs or take the elevator up.
From up here, you can see the whole park and views of the surrounding city.
At night, the tower lights up. (Of course, keep in mind, you won't be able to see anything at the top at night.)
From the playground equipment to the amenities, Summit Park is definitely one of Ohio's most unique parks.
