If you're looking for the perfect outdoor getaway to relax, take your mind off things, and just enjoy everything around you, then this might just be the place for you. This park in North Dakota is right on Devils Lake and has everything you need for the ultimate outdoor weekend trip, and it's just simply beautiful! Experience North Dakota's largest natural lake in the best way possible and visit this place:
Grahams Island State Park rests on a large island in the middle of Devils Lake, connected to the mainland only by a narrow road.
On the island it's like you're in an entirely different world.
The island is full of both trees and plains, and plenty of spots for the perfect picnic. Many trails wind through the park that make for amazing outdoor strolls.
Fishing is a huge thing here, of course, and many anglers come by to take advantage of the many types of fish there that make Devils Lake so popular and loved.
Camping is big here, too. There's tons of spots for bringing in the RV and more for pitching a tent under the trees and stars. They even have cabins you can rent while you're there.
The refreshing nature of Grahams Island make it a wonderful place to unwind and get a well deserved break to get a breath of fresh air.
Even after summer has passed, this place is still busy with visitors who travel for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and more. It's open year round and a great way to experience Devils Lake. You can find the park 10 miles west of Devils Lake on ND-19, where there is a road that goes over the water on a raised embankment called Grahams Island Road.
