When it comes to summertime fun, all today's kids (and kids at heart) really need is the same kind of fun we (ah hem) had when we were growing up, right? Right! So head to this old-fashioned water slide on the North Carolina coast for a step back in time - and a fun-filled day.
Generations of families have been twisting down the water slides at this fun family attraction in Holden Beach.
With attentive lifeguards always at the ready, and several slides upon which to glide effortlessly down in the summer sun, you (and the kids) are sure to have a ball.
The seasonal water slide is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (closed on Sundays) and is priced right, with daily passes and shorter time segment options.
If you're spending several hours and need to refuel, then instead of weighing you down with a heavy lunch, the attraction has some snacks, drinks and ice cream available. They also have a fun mini-golf course you can add on to your ticket if you want.
But it may be hard to pull the kids (and yourself) off the fun slides.
The next time the kids want to go to a water park, take 'em to one that doesn't have the long lines or the sprawling landscape where they're forever dropping out of view.
