Just north of Asheville, you'll find a place that seems to have been plucked straight from a fairytale book. Craggy Gardens offers some of the most stunning viewpoints of the Blue Ridge Mountains, including hiking trails that lend a magical experience.
In the early Summer, rhododendron blooms encompass the popular Craggy Pinnacle trail, leading you through a tunnel of pink and purple blooms amidst dense greenery. A simply beautiful sight.
You won't mind the easy, 1.5 mile hike.
Especially when you're treated to your own magical tunnel of trees!
All of the nature and plant life you'll encounter on your hike is simply magical. It's an experience you must have at least once in North Carolina.
Can you say fairytale? This really is so dreamlike.
Craggy Gardens even has a popular picnic area, with views like this not too far away.
But reaching the top of the trail is where things really get magical. You're treated to amazing, 360-degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
While I totally suggest experiencing the trail, if you're in a time crunch or looking for an easier option, you can experience views like pictured above right off the parking area near the Visitor Center.
North Carolina is a beautiful state. But a visit to Craggy Gardens shows you how that beauty can transcend into pure magic, like something straight from your dreams!
Craggy Gardens (and North Carolina) is a place of wonder and beauty. This trail is one of my favorite places in our state, and a must-have experience! Have you been here before, if so, what were your thoughts on the beautiful Craggy Gardens?
