Ski destinations in upstate New York like Whiteface Mountain and Bristol Mountain are incredibly beautiful and popular spots for skiing enthusiasts throughout the region. West Mountain Ski Area in upstate New York has 126 skiable acres, 31 trails, a tubing park and more, making it one of the most exciting winter wonderlands you can visit in the state.
This hub of adventure is located just outside Adirondack Park and is an action-packed region at all times of the year with activities ranging from skiing to alpine racing.
This gorgeous landscape sits between Saratoga Springs and Lake George and boasts some of the prettiest views you'll find in upstate New York.
The tubing park at West Mountain is one of the most fun highlights of the property and is absolutely worth a visit if you head to this resort to ski. You can even rent out the tubing park for private events!
Bring your family and friends together for a six-week ski club. Or, if your kids want to learn to ski, enroll them in an after-school ski program on the mountain.
West Mountain even has an alpine racing program for advanced racers ages under 12 to under 19. The program includes a six-week introduction to racing program, as well as open ski and conditioning camps.
Head to the West Express Cafe, a state-of-the-art kitchen located in the lodge for some hearty comfort food in between runs. Or drop by the West Mountain Bar and Eatery for a tasty snack before heading back up the mountain for another adventure.
West Mountain is also tucked away in an ideal spot right next to Glen Falls in one of the most scenic areas of the state. Head into the heart of Glen Falls for lunch, visit Moreau Lake State Park or head a few miles north to the beautiful Lake George.
