Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. I love visiting amusement parks - in fact, I just knocked Knoebels off my bucket list this summer and will be traveling to Canobie Lake Park in August. So it's always exciting to hear when an amusement park is getting a big new addition - especially when it's a park that hasn't gotten one in quite some time. That's the case for Six Flags Great Escape near Lake George, which is one of the smaller Six Flags parks and caters more to families. But it just so happens that in 2024, it's home to the biggest new roller coaster in New York - Bobcat, a thrilling new wooden family coaster that combines old-school charm with new-school flair. Lake George is one of the more far-flung regions of the Empire State, especially if you're coming from the city, but from a first look at this wildcat, it's going to be worth making the trip!

Six Flags Great Escape is hiding in the Lake George area, all the way in the northeast of the state.
Replacing the Alpine Bobsled, this is the first new wooden coaster to open in New York since 1999 and was built from scratch. It has a great Adirondack theme...
But how does it ride? Early reviews have been fantastic, saying it gives great airtime while also being smooth and fun enough for families to enjoy together.
