You may already have your favorite go-to spot in our state to view these beautiful colors that Mother Nature creates, but there's one easy hike that everyone can take to get a look at our stunning scenery. Down in Ulster County on the Shawangunk Ridge, there's an easy hike that's spectacular to experience during the fall season.
A 2-mile loop that takes you around Lake Minnewaska, the short but sweet trail gives you a gorgeous look at the area's unique terrain and scenery.
Part of Minnewaska State Park Preserve, the park sits at over 2,000 feet above sea level and gives you never-ending views of the Gunks and Hudson Valley region.
The loop trail is one that's quite easy, a great hike for all skill levels of adventurers that will get outside amongst our gorgeous foliage.
The trail is generally used March through November and is dog-friendly, just one of the over 50-miles of hiking trails that you can find in the preserve.
Opening up at 9AM every day, you can come and explore the trail around Lake Minnewaska all throughout the year but there's no better time than now!
