Known as America's Most Historic Landscape, the star-shaped fort was built by the French back in the 18th century.

The only site in our country that tells a new story annually through historic interpretation, this year Fort Ticonderoga is showcasing 1777!
That's right! Just another reason to plan another trip back here, Fort Ticonderoga is currently in the year of 1777! Come and see the British capture of the fort, where you'll learn about fascinating stories from the past.
Demonstrations and Tours are given here daily, offering visitors so much to see and experience.
Every day, you can witness Musket Firing and Canon Firing demonstrations, at 11AM and 2PM! A true way to throw yourself into the past.
With beautiful views of Lake Champlain, you'll love exploring the different hiking trails here.
With 2,000 acres of land, there's plenty to explore at Fort Ticonderoga. One of our most favorite trails to explore is the Carillon Battlefield trail, a 1.7-mile loop that'll take you on an adventure through America's most important battlefields. There's nothing like combining history and nature!
While exploring this wonderful trail, be sure to stay on the lookout for historical clues. That's right, you can actually take yourself on an Archaeology Scavenger Game if you want!
One of the most beautiful spaces you'll find on the fort's land, is King's Garden.
Once apart of a prehistoric sea, the land that King's Garden sits on today is fertile and perfect for the stunning greenery. The garden is filled with eye-catching brick paths and vibrant floral features that will have you at a loss for words.
Historic tours are offered daily at 11:30AM and 2:30PM, the perfect way to explore the garden.
Another amazing thing you can do while visiting King's Garden? From August through October you can actually go apple picking! Who knew?
