New York's spring season is quite an exciting time, with major events like our lilac and tulip festivals taking place all around the state. If you happened to have missed those floral festivities that already took place this month though, then have no fear because there are still plenty of serene attractions that you can enjoy this year. A public garden that will absolutely leave you in awe, see why we love stealing away to this peaceful garden in the Hudson Highlands.
Hidden away at an elevation of over 1,100-feet, Stonecrop Gardens can be found just 10-minutes outside the heart of Cold Spring.
The breathtaking garden covers 15-acres and is made up of several different areas, including the Conservancy that overlooks a little pond.
As you explore the gardens, you won't believe your eyes as you see all sorts of plants and flowers that you generally won't see at your average garden.
Walk around the flower garden or the woodland garden, and you'll start to feel like you've stepped into a fairytale.
You'll also notice that throughout the garden are discreetly situated numbers that will let you know what you're looking at.

One of our favorite areas to explore is the Rock Ledge, an area that will quickly remind you that you're up in New York's Hudson HIghlands.
The gardens also feature several different ponds, creating oasis' that you can hang out by all day long.
There are even stone bridges that you can walk across...
...and all sorts of different wildlife that you'll encounter!
An amazing place that both garden enthusiasts with green thumbs and the Average Joe can enjoy, Stonecrop Gardens is made up of all sorts of picturesque views.
Officially open for visitors, you now have until the end of October to visit the gardens before they close for the year.
