While mentioning that the Adirondack State Park is New York's largest state park, we also forgot to include some pretty significant information. One of the most important things we forgot? That this beautiful state park is not only New York's largest, but also America's largest state park! Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon and more could all fit inside the Adirondacks!
Inside the state park you'll find the Adirondack Scenic Railroad!
With stations at Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Old Forge and Utica, you'll get to pass through New York's impressive forest.
New York's famous High Peaks!
No matter which season you decide to take on these marvelous peaks, we promise you the astonishing views waiting for you at the top will be worth it!
A never-ending list of beautiful mountains lie inside the Adirondack park but our most well known are the 46 High Peaks. These particular 46 mountains are the highest mountains of New York and range in difficulty, all offering views that will last you a life time.
There are more than a hundred towns and villages inside the Adirondack park, some of which are quite literally miraculous.
No New Yorker, or American for that matter, will forget the incredible day in history when the Miracle on Ice took place during the 1980 Winter Olympics. All throughout this state park you can find towns and villages where you and your loved ones will enjoy the most memorable of times.
Maybe you're looking to literally take things slow, and enjoy some maple trapping!
The delicious joy of maple syrup doesn't just belong to some our fellow east coast neighbors, inside the Adirondacks you'll find hundreds of maple producers! From Maple Weekend festivals to sugar house tours, there's plenty of fun to be had with this sweet sugary treat.

The winter carnival at Saranac Lake!
Every year Saranac Lake holds a winter carnival where it never ceases to amaze us, creating the most stunning of ice palaces you'll ever lay your eyes on! Currently the Winter Carnival is still going on now through the 14th of February, even though this year's strangely warm winter did have some of the villages residents worrying!
